Add marie biscuits to a food processor.
Blitz the marie biscuits. These can be ground smooth or left slightly gritty.
Transfer to a large bowl. Add ground almonds.
Add in cocoa powder and shredded chocolate.
Mix the dry ingredients and add in condensed milk.
Bring everything together to start forming a dough.
Once it all comes together, knead for a minute till smooth.
Make a small ball using the dough.
Repeat till all the dough is used. Make them as equal size as you can. Set them aside.
Roll each bowl in your choice of toppings like shredded coconut, shredded chocolate, pistachio powder. The ones left without toppings can be rolled in silver edible varakh.
- Use any soft biscuit or cracker that crumbles well. Having large bits will not result in smooth truffles.
- Adjust the condensed milk if you switch the biscuits for a sweeter version.
- These truffles are great when rolled in nut meals or chocolate. They can be dipped in melted chocolate too.
- Refrigerate the truffles till a few minutes before serving.
